METHOD FOR PRODUCING PENTALENE DERIVATIVES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing pentalene derivatives having a desired substituent with higher yield and better reactivity than when conventional production methods are employed.SOLUTION: In the method for producing pentalene derivatives, a reaction is performed in an ether-based organic solvent (C) by using a metal cyclopentadiene compound (A) shown by a general formula [1] and an unsaturated ketone compound (B) shown by a general formula [2] to obtain the pentalene derivative (D) shown by a general formula [3].
