<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a cleaning blade capable of maintaining good cleanability over a long period is used to thereby make it possible to increase the pressing force of a charging roller, and the charge potential is stabilized without contamination of the charging roller to generate no linear abnormal image.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier; charging means; exposure means; developing means; transfer means; fixing means; and cleaning means including a cleaning blade for removing toner remaining on the image carrier. The charging means includes a charging roller that is brought into contact with the image carrier for charging. The charging roller abuts the image carrier at a pressing force of 10 mN/cm to 1,000 mN/cm. The cleaning blade includes an elastic member that abuts the surface of the image carrier to remove a residue attached to the surface of the image carrier. An abutment part of the elastic member, which abuts the surface of the image carrier, includes a cured product of an ultraviolet curable composition containing a (meth) acrylate compound having an alicyclic structure having 6 or more carbon atoms in a molecule.</p> |
