PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism which is easily used by a sender and a recipient while securing safety on security in the mechanism for setting a password in a file attached to an e-mail to be transmitted. ! SOLUTION: Information indicating a transmission destination, a password and the effective period and effective frequency of the password are stored while being associated with one another, an e-mail transmitted from a sender terminal is acquired, and the password corresponding to the transmission destination of the acquired e-mail is applied to the file attached to the received e-mail. When no corresponding password exists, a password is newly generated, and the generated password is applied.
