This technique pertains to an image pickup device that makes it surer to have a lower height, and pertains to electronic equipment. An image pickup device includes a lens group composed of one or more lens elements; and an image pickup element that has a light receiving surface on which an image of an object is formed by the lens group. The light receiving surface of the image pickup element is curved in a concave form with respect to the lens group, and the distance from a lens surface of the lens group that is closest to the light receiving surface to the light receiving surface is half or more of the distance from a lens surface of the lens group that is closest to the object to the light receiving surface. The present technique can be applied to, for example, an image pickup device that is installed in a mobile phone. |
