ULTRASOUND MEASUREMENT OF WALL THICKNESS LOSS FOR A STRUCTURE

Systems and methods accurately measure wall thickness in a region of interest (105) included in complex curved structures. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to generating a wall thickness loss distribution map (1100) of a region of interest (105) that provides an accurate representation of wall thickness for the region of interest (105) included in a complex curved structure (101). The wall thickness loss distribution map (1100) is generated from a two-dimensional model (750) of the wall thickness loss distribution of the region of interest (105). The two-dimensional model (750) is converted from a three-dimensional representation (700) of the wall thickness loss distribution of the region of interest (105). The three-dimensional representation (700) of the wall thickness is generated by ultrasonic waves (104) generated by a transducer system (201) that propagated through the region of interest (105).
