A driving motor for a drum washing machine according to the present invention comprises a stator including a stator core fixated at the back of a tub, a first coil wound on one side of the stator core and to which first power is applied, and a second coil wound on the other side of the stator core and to which second power is applied; and a rotor including a rotor support connected to a drum and a rotary shaft, an outer rotor arranged on the outer surface of the stator to have a gap therebetween, and an inner rotor fixated at the rotor support, arranged on the inner surface of the stator to have a gap therebetween and rotating interoperable with the second coil. The present invention drives only one of the inner rotor and the outer rotor during a dehydration process, and drives both the inner rotor and the outer rotor during a washing and a rinsing process to perform torque design appropriate for the washing and the dehydration process, thereby increasing washing efficiency and motor efficiency and simplifying a circuit layout. |
