A lock assembly for a bicycle quick release mechanism comprises; A padlock with an extension bracket fixed to it, the shackle of the padlock encompasses the cup/body of the quick release skewer or sits between the cup/body and the lever of the quick release skewer, when the lever is in the closed position. The extension bracket which is fixed to the lever side of the padlock, which can be fixed via chemical bonding, welding or by mechanical means, encompasses the lever of the quick release skewer, when the lever is in the closed position; whereby the wheel cannot be removed from the bicycle until the lock assembly is unlocked and removed. |
