A bandage is made of plastic in film or sheet form with a border or borders thinner than the remainder. The cross-sectional shape of the bandage tapers or is bevelled. The bandage may be made from synthetic resin, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, dissolved or dispersed in a liquid plasticizer so that, on casting, the material flows for a short time and the edges thin out. When set, after-treatment, e.g. dusting with medicament, may be applied. According to the Provisional Specification the plastic material may be extruded from a stationary hopper through a narrow slot on to an endless belt having a slightly convex horizontal surface.ALSO:A bandage is made of plastic in film or sheet form with a border or borders thinner than the remainder.
