<p>A purpose of the present invention is to provide a light conversion member which has high quantum conversion yield. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a light conversion member that has high quantum conversion yield. A light conversion member which contains a phosphor and glass, with a carbon content of 0.5-10 ppm. A method for producing a light conversion member, which comprises: a kneading step wherein a glass powder, a phosphor powder, a resin and an organic solvent are kneaded together; a molding step wherein a kneaded material obtained in the kneading step is molded; and a firing step wherein a molded material obtained in the molding step is fired. The firing step comprises at least a first firing step wherein the firing atmosphere is at more than 103 Pa and the oxygen concentration is 16% or more, and a second firing step wherein the firing atmosphere is at 103 Pa or less or the oxygen concentration is 1-15%. If Td is the temperature of the first firing step and Tb is the temperature of the second firing step, Td is 450°C or less and (Tb - Td) is 100-300°C.</p> |
