<p>The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for whitening or wrinkle improvement which includes a seaweed extract as an active ingredient. The seaweed extract according to the present invention has excellent tyrosinase inhibitory activity, melanogenesis inhibitory activity, collagen synthesis ability and MMP inhibitory activity, shows almost no cytotoxicity in keratinocytes (HaCaT), human dermal fibroblast cells (1064 SK) and epidermoid carcinoma cells (B16F), is non-irritant, shows very low sensitization (level I), and does not provide phototoxic properties and photosensitive properties. Accordingly, the seaweed extract according to the present invention is useful for a cosmetic composition for whitening or wrinkle improvement.</p> |
