The present invention relates to a method and a device for performing and supporting device-to-device communications (D2D communications) of a terminal. The method for performing the D2D communications according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a step of obtaining a proximity service ID (ProSe ID) of the terminal or a terminal user used in the D2D communications; a step of generating expression using the ProSe ID; a step of broadcasting the generated expression; a step of receiving a D2D direct connection request message from a core network; a step of transmitting a direct connection approval message for the direct connection request message; and a step of performing the D2D communications with the other terminal using the ProSe ID. The D2D communications can be simply performed according to the embodiment of the present invention.
