The weighing table (1) has a base part (2), a cover part (3) and multiple load cells, which absorb the weight force acting on the cover part. A lifting device is provided for lifting and lowering the cover part. The cover part is driven in a position, in which the load cells are relieved, and driven in another position, in which the load cells absorb the forces acting on the cover part.
