<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide counterfeit-proof paper which has not only the characteristics as the paper, such as thickness, but has also a counterfeit-proof medium and a function for inspecting the medium in the same paper without using another inspection tool, more specifically, to provide the counterfeit-proof paper which enables to inspect whether an article is a counterfeit article or not, only by putting a thread-exposed portion of the counterfeit-proof paper over the counterfeit-proof medium visible with polarized light to detect the presence or absence of a latent image in the counterfeit-proof medium or the change in visual performance, and to provide an inspection method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the anti-counterfeit paper produced by putting threads in a paper base material, the threads are a polarizer having a fine stripe pattern disposed on a transparent polymer resin film substrate, and are exposed from windowed portions partially provided in the paper, and the paper is provided with the counterfeit-proof medium capable of being inspected with the polarizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
