Method and device of processing broadcast contents by verifying authenticity of broadcast contents through network by IPTV

Provided is a method by which an IPTV processes broadcast contents. The method includes: receiving second contents corresponding to first contents among contents provided through a broadcast network as a user input requesting a reception of the first contents through an IP network is received; determining a similarity between the first contents and the second contents; and determining an authenticity of the first contents on the basis of the determined similarity.
