The present invention relates to a method, a device, and a network for establishing a wavelength connection with adjustable spectral bandwidth. A spectral resource is allocated, according to a specified modulation format and required spectral resource, to a wavelength connection to be established, or the modulation format of the wavelength connection to be established and the allocated spectral resource are determined in a process for establishing the wavelength connection, so that, in the case where information on a client side is separated from that on a server side during establishment of the wavelength connection, signaling on a control plane is used to determine a modulation format and a required spectral resource at both ends according to the length of a path, and this enables a network side to allocate the minimum spectral resources to each wavelength connection, thereby implementing effective allocation of spectral resources on the network and effectively saving spectral resources on the network. |
