A system and a method for processing data are disclosed. According to an aspect of the present invention, a data processing server includes: a receiving unit which receives log data from at least one data loss prevention (DLP) server; a classification unit which classifies the field of the log data by preset index target fields; an index generating unit which creates the index data of the log data using the classified index target field, and stores the created index data together with the index ID of the log data in a repository within an index node; and a storage management unit which distributedly stores unstructured data among the log data in a plurality of hadoop distributed file systems (HDFSs) in an HDFS cluster, associates structured data among the log data with the index ID and location information including the unstructured data, and distributedly stores the structured data in a plurality of HIVEs in the HDFS cluster.
