PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clad material with high productivity and excellent in terms of conductivity, softening temperature and surface quality, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The clad material is obtained by bonding different metal materials, wherein at least one of the metal materials is a dilute copper alloy material comprising more than 2 mass ppm oxygen and an additive element chosen from the group consisting of Ti, Mg, Zr, Nb, Ca, V, Ni, Mn, and Cr and the balance being unavoidable impurities and copper. The method for manufacturing the dilute copper alloy material for the clad material comprises: manufacturing a wire rod from a pre-rolled material by a twin-roll continuous casting and rolling method or a Properzi continuous casting and rolling method employing a casting temperature of 1,100-1,320°C; and subjecting the wire rod to hot rolling wherein rolling by the first roll is carried out at≤880°C and rolling by the final roll is carried out at≥550°C.
