摘要 The present invention relates to an evaporative air cooler, and more specifically, to an evaporative air cooler, which lowers indoor temperature and effectively increases indoor humidity with evaporation heat generated during evaporation of moisture contained in indoor air, thereby constantly maintaining a pleasant environment. The evaporative air cooler comprises a cylindrical outer shell, which has a plurality of penetrating holes connected to a water supply unit located in the upper surface and a water discharge hole in the lower part to discharge water, and which is opened on both sides; a blocking unit, which is combined to both sides inside the outer shell by a bearing to be randomly rotated; an evaporation mesh unit, which lowers air temperature by evaporation heat generated by water evaporation when indoor air passes through while the outer periphery of the ends of both sides is being combined to an opening unit located in the center of the blocking unit; a blowing fan, which is located in the rear end of the evaporation mesh unit and forcibly takes in and blows air by the operation of a motor; and a humidity detecting sensor, which is arranged on one side of the rear end of the outer shell to detect humidity of air passing through the evaporation mesh unit. When unnecessary moisture remains in the evaporation mesh unit and the moisture does not evaporate, the evaporation mesh unit is operated by the motor in order to extract the moisture by rotating centrifugal force.
