<p>The system has an inverter (6), and multiple associations (21, 22) of batteries (1, 2) in series with bidirectional choppers (3, 4) connected in parallel to a same input of the inverter. The bidirectional choppers are associated with the batteries intended to be charged and discharged asymmetrically, and sized asymmetrically for the charge and discharge of the associated batteries. The bidirectional choppers are sized asymmetrically such that power switches used in a discharge direction have a maximum allowable current greater than that of power switches used in a charge direction.</p> |
