摘要 An integrated circuit with analogue/digital audio inputs/outputs is used for configurable digital signal routing from input data sources to output data destinations. Signal routing can include mixing using a mixing fabric comprising one or more multiply-accumulate (MAC) blocks, which operate on a time division multiplexed (TDM) basis and take audio sample data from data sources, perform any required scaling (multiplication) to produce partial results which are temporarily stored and summed with subsequent/previous partial results to generate output audio sample data for a data destination. The mixer may also comprise source and destination buffers, such as ping-pong buffers, which enable input audio data samples and output audio data samples to be buffered for an entire period of a data sample clock so that the multiply-accumulate block and destination can retrieve the data at any point in the period. Multiple signal paths can be defined by configuration data supplied to the circuit and each has a respective sample clock rate. Paths with different sample clock rates can be routed through the multiply-accumulate block independently of each other.
