The holding element (44) has a mounting portion (80), which is mounted on a support structure and a holding portion (68), which is adapted to engage in an engagement unit provided to a heat shield stone. Two layers (86,88) having mutually different coefficients of expansion are provided. The layers are formed in such a way that the actuation of the heat shield stone is caused with hot gas to increase a holding force of the holding element in regions of curvature of the holding element. An independent claim is included for a heat shield for a combustion chamber of a gas turbine.
