The first reading is configured to read first medium identification information and cassette identification information which are stored in a first medium contained in a cassette. The second reading is configured to read cassette information from the cassette. The determining is configured to determine a cassette contained medium formed of the cassette and the medium as authentic, when the cassette information includes the first medium identification information and the cassette identification information.
