The present invention relates to a photovoltaic cell comprising a nanoparticle layer and a method for producing the same. A photovoltaic cell comprising a nanoparticle layer according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a nanoparticle layer including a p-type organic material; a hole transfer layer formed in the lower part of the nanoparticle layer; a first electrode formed in the lower part of the hole transfer layer; an electron transfer layer formed in the upper part of the nanoparticle layer; and a second electrode formed in the upper part of the electron transfer layer.
