A cargo storage system (10, Figure 1) has a flat bed (12, Figure 1), a series of alignment members (50, Figure 2) slideably connected by slide bearings 76 to side members 44, 46. A net (120, Figure 2). The alignment members (50) remaining substantially perpendicular to the side members 44, 46 when a user pulls from one side of the system. Alignment members (50) preferably comprise substantially rigid members extending across the longitudinal extent of the cargo storage area. The alignment means (50) in the form of cross members may be slidably to the side member by a bearing 76 allowing sliding along the side member but preventing twisting of the cross member relative to the side member about a vertical axis. The retention means may be straps (124, Figure 2). Optionally the slide bearing 76 only partially surrounds the side member 44 which may be cylindrical in cross section. |
