Provided is a braking device capable of controlling change of brake clearance to be within a predetermined range by correcting the change of the brake clearance caused by temperature variation. A rotating body (11) is in contact with a braking body (12) confronting the rotating body (11) at a predetermined interval to realize braking; a telescopic body (26) with a different thermal expansion coefficient from the rotating body (11) is used as an interval adjustment mechanism ( 25 ) for adjusting the interval; and the change of the interval caused by the change of ambient temperature is controlled within the predetermined range through the expansion or contraction of the telescopic body (26).</p> |
