The present invention relates to a new carrier type (NCT) without a control area comprising PDCCH. A method for transmitting an orthogonal demodulation reference signal in a carrier having a base station of NCT according to the present invention comprises the steps of: performing a code division multiplexing using an orthogonal code for a demodulation reference signal to be mapped on a symbol overlapped with PSS and SSS arranged on a downlink subframe; and transmitting a downlink comprising the code division multiplexed demodulation reference signal.
