<p>A system for connecting smart devices such as gas meters, electricity meters or in-home displays in a building comprises at least two Zigbee bridging devices (ZBR), each arranged in relative proximity of a smart device GM, EM, IHD) at different locations within the building. The bridging devices are connected to the smart devices via a wireless connection and may also have an in-built router for connecting to a gateway device (GW) via power lines. The gateway connects to a wide area network (WAN). Communication between devices can be controlled by a central building control centre.</p> |
