A method of providing multi-user touch system functionality includes applying a respective different encoded (e.g. by code division multiplexing ) signal to each one of respective transmitter antennae (214a) by means of at least one transmitter (212); receiving at a receiver (222A/B) by means of a receiver antennae (221A/B) an encoded signal applied to one of the transmitter antennae when a user coupled to the receiver selectively couples to one of the plurality of transmitter antenna by means of at least a portion of the users body; and determining an identity of the transmitter antenna that transmitted the received signal by decoding the received signal using stored reference data.
