a probe, having a proximal end and a distal end, the probe comprising:
a sensor, which outputs a sensor signal; anda first connector at the proximal end of the probe, electrically coupled at least to the sensor; a probe adapter, comprising:
a second connector at a distal end of the probe adapter, which is arranged to mate with the first connector of the probe; anda third connector located proximal from the first connector and the second connector, and coupled to a console; and a shield, comprising a mu-metal material of high magnetic permeability, the shield being made of unitary tubular form which is configured to enclose an internal volume containing the first connector and second connectors when the probe is connected to the probe adapter, the unitary tubular form of the shield preventing leakage of electromagnetic fields from the first connector and the second connector when the probe is connected to the probe adapter. |
