The present invention is directed to the treatment of depression in a subject in need thereof using a therapeutically effective amount of one or more novel benzo-fused heterocycle sulfamide derivatives of formula (I) (see above formula) The present invention is directed to treatment of depression, which includes mono-therapy and alternatively, co-therapy with at least one antidepressant.
