1. A self-piercing rivet that is adapted to integrally join an upper plate member and a lower plate member overlapped with each other, the self-piercing rivet comprising:
a head portion; and a shank portion integrally connected to the head portion and provided with more than two slits, wherein the shank portion comprises:
a first portion integrally connected to the head portion and having circular cross-section; anda plurality of second portions integrally connected to the first portion and disposed between the slits, wherein the slit is provided with a triangular groove at the first portion, and the groove is connected to a space of the second portion, and wherein edge surfaces of the second portion facing with each other through the slit are disposed in parallel with respect to an inner center axis of the first portion. |
