The present invention relates to a door impact beam for a vehicle in which the door impact beam is formed by a single body having a cross section meeting a vehicle collision regulation and, in which since a plurality of beam brackets are not necessary like the prior art, the number of welding points is reduced, thereby easily installing the door impact beam, reducing the cost, and lightening the weight of the vehicle. The door impact beam includes a sheet-like beam body; at least one impact absorbing portion protruding from the surface of the beam body to absorb the impact energy; and flared flat portions formed at both ends of the beam body. The method of manufacturing the door impact beam for the vehicle includes the steps of preparing a sheet-like material (S10); forming the impact absorbing portion on the material and cutting to obtain the beam body (S20); heating the beam body (S30); forming the flared flat portions at both ends of the beam body in a longitudinal direction; and cooling the beam body to complete the door impact beam (S50). |
