1. A system for managing one or more wireless devices in a wireless network, the system comprising:
a processor; a memory accessible by the processor, the memory having stored thereon computer executable instructions to cause the system to implement data modules; a first data module having an interface layer for translating administration client-specific requests for device management operations to generic requests for the device management operations, the administration client-specific requests having administration client-specific standards; and a second data module having a single generic device manager for handling the generic requests translated by the interface layer and implementing the device management operations; wherein the interface layer includes one or more interface modules for interfacing with respective one or more administration clients and for performing the translating, each interface module being configured to support the respective one or more administration clients.
