Novelty: a method for enriching farmed seawater and freshwater fish (e.g. breams and bars) with olive polar fats is disclosed. Ingredients: pre-mixture of animal and vegetable proteins (60 to 95%), olive treatment sub-products (2 to 9%), vitamins and trace elements (1 to 4%); the resulted fish food is administrated before the fish reach their commercial size, for a time period ranging from 2 to 6 months in respect to the fish specie. Purpose: farming of fish featuring a significantly increased percentage of polar fats making the resulting fish food efficient in acting against atherogenesis (development of atheromatous plaques). |
