The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a driving method thereof. An embodiment of the present invention includes the mobile terminal which includes a display unit, a connection unit which is in connection with an external audio output device, and a control unit which automatically executes an application to support the external audio output device if the external audio output device is connected.
