A disclosed embodiment of the present invention relates to a driving safety apparatus for a construction vehicle. In addition, the disclosed embodiment of the driving safety apparatus for a construction vehicle in the present invention is configured to detect an object in front when a boom is located at or beyond a preset position in an operating range of the boom of the vehicle; to obtain distance information of the detected object and speed information of the detected object; to calculate a collision prediction time of the detected object in front by using the obtained information; and to provide a driver with warning sound and an image of the status in front according to the calculated collision prediction time and to decelerate the vehicle automatically, thereby improving the efficiency of work and preventing accidents. |
