The present invention relates to a billet inspection device capable of detecting the component non-uniformity of billets and the generation of an internal crack gas layer by applying direct current to the continuously manufactured billets and measuring the variation of current values of the applied direct current. The billet inspection device comprises a guide part having first and second guides which have an inlet, an outlet, and a driving path for making the billets drive; a conduction part having first and second carbon brushes arranged in the outlet of the guide part and being in contact with the surface of the billets driving on the driving path; a direct current power supply part for supplying direct current power to the conduction part; and a direct current measuring part for measuring whether the billets are normal by measuring the variation of the current values when the conduction part is in contact with the billets. |
