The present invention relates to a thin film solar cell and a manufacturing method thereof. The thin film solar cell includes a first substrate, a first electrode which is located on the first surface of the first substrate and is divided by a first separation groove, a light absorption layer which is located on the first electrode and is divided by a second separation groove which is parallel to the first groove, a second electrode which is located on the light absorption layer, is divided by a third separation groove which is parallel to the first and the second separation grooves and has light transmittance, a second substrate which faces the first substrate located on the second electrode, and a metal foil which is attached to the first and the second substrates to seal a gap between the first substrate and the second substrate. The metal foil includes a first end part which is attached to the first surface of the first substrate by a metallic material arranged in the same layer as the first electrode, and a second end part which is attached to the second substrate. |
