The present invention relates to an illumination unit and a display apparatus using the same. The present invention includes a reflector, a base member arranged in one side of the reflector, at least one light source supported by the base member. The reflector includes a bottom plate and a side plate which is bent from the edge of the bottom plate. The base member includes an inner side facing the light source and an outer side facing the side plate of the reflector. An angle between the bottom plate of the reflector and the side plate of the reflector and an angle between the bottom plate of the reflector and the outer side of the base member are acute angles. |
