The present invention relates to a video recording device in a vehicle to obtain a video and a picture at the same time by a plurality of cameras, and an operating method thereof. The device is aware of traffic accident situations and identifies detailed situations without wasting the storage capacity of a storage medium so as to secure a more accurate video of an accident. Further, the detailed situations are easily identified by pictures obtained after or before the occurrence of an event even when the timing of the picture-taking does not match the timing of the identification for the detailed situations. |
