Disclosed is a method for controlling an image scanning apparatus that can be connected to a server. The control method comprises the steps of: scanning a manuscript to generate a scanned image; generating page information for the generated scanned image; adding the generated page information to the generated scanned image; and transmitting the scanned image with the page information added to a server.
