The device (1) includes an elongated hollow element (2) presenting an external side leveled with an open end (22) whose portion is arranged to wipe surplus of filler paste. The filler paste is used for sealing during displacement of the hollow element along the joint. A receiving volume (24) receives the scraped paste during the displacement of the hollow element along the joint. The hollow element presents a closed end to retain the surplus of paste collected inside the receiving volume of the hollow element.
