CVFATB1 GENE AND THEIR USES IN PALMITIC ACID BIOSYNTHESIS

The present invention relates to a novel CvFatB1 isolated from Cuphea viscosissima and an effect of increasing the content of a palmitic acid in a transgenic plant by using the same. The content of the palmitic acid in a seed of the transgenic plant transformed with the novel CvFatB1 gene increases, and such a trait is further increased in a T2 generation. Thus, the seed of the transformant can be used in production of a palmitic acid.
