The present invention, with regard to a cinerary urn which comprises: an inner case (10) for storing ashes, an outer case (20) placed outside the inner case (10), and a moisture absorbing member (30) placed between the inner case (10) and the outer case (20) to promote moisture absorption and odor absorption and prevent the inner case (10) from shaking, provides a cinerary urn which is made from wood and is formed to be separated into the inner case (10) and the outer case (20), wherein the upper outer circumferential surface of a main body part and the lower inner circumferential surface of a cover part are slopingly formed to be coupled by forced fitting, thereby having an effect of increasing the sealing ability between the inner case (10) and the outer case (20) to obtain excellent waterproof and moistureproof effects. In addition, inner case mounting parts are formed between a bottom member of the inner case (10) and a bottom member of the outer case (20) so the bottom member of the inner case (10) and the bottom member of the outer case (20) are separated at regular intervals, thereby promoting ventilation. Furthermore, an activated carbon obtained by treating charcoal, lignite, etc. with chemicals is inserted between the inner case (10) and the outer case (20), thereby promoting an effect of enhancing moisture absorption effect and odor absorption effect.
