The present invention relates to an apparatus for walking assistance for assisting walking which recognizes a user′s will to walk and helps the user move his or her foot forward and backward. The apparatus for walking assistance according to the present invention includes: a main body that has an inner space; first and second traveling driving bodies that are disposed in parallel to be capable of traveling in a front-back direction in the main body; and a traveling unit that has first and second supporting foot plates which respectively extend out of the main body from the traveling driving body and support the foot of the user. The first and second supporting foot plates are formed to recognize lifting of the user′s heels and drive the first and second traveling driving bodies when the user′s heels on the first and second supporting foot plates are lifted. |
