The present invention provides an apparatus for generating a registration face, comprising at least one video imaging unit; multiple lightings which are arranged in an array; a control unit containing information on turning on and off of the lightings and information on the photographing direction of the video imaging unit, and controlling to change the turning on and off of the lightings or the photographing direction of the video imaging unit based on at least one stored quality parameters for face registration; and a face registering unit for generating registration face image by using the face image photographed every time the lightings are turned on and off or the photographing direction of the video imaging unit is changed by the control unit.
