The present invention relates to a technique of paying a tuition fee. A method for paying a tuition fee conducted by a tuition fee payment server that can be connected to a mobile terminal, a payment card server associated with a credit card owned by a user of the mobile terminal, and a tuition fee settlement server associated with at least one account of a private institution operator, comprising the steps of (a) receiving information regarding a private institution operator associated with a particular private institution operator account among at least one private institution operator account, private institution payment information, and user information defined by the user, (b) requesting payment approval from a credit card server based on the private institution payment information, (c) when the payment approval is successfully completed, detecting the particular private institution operator account based on the private institution operator information, and (d) receiving at least a portion of an intuition fee from the payment card server. Thus, a payment card is prevented from being stolen or lost and an intuition fee can be paid through a mobile terminal conveniently and safely. |
