The core has a thermoelectric junction consisting a series of conductive elements (1), and bands of P and N type semiconductor elements (2, 3), where the bands of the semiconductor element are separated by the conductive elements. The band of the P type semiconductor element has a length (Lp), thickness (ep) and width (Ip) and the band of the N type semiconductor element has length (Ln), thickness (en) and width (In) independently. The bands of semiconductor elements are attached with the conductive element along the width by satisfying a specific relation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a thermoelectric structure (2) a method for forming a thermoelectric structure.
