A vehicle sensing device is disclosed. The vehicle sensing device according to the present invention is used for sensing a vehicle by being mounted at a section through which vehicles pass and comprises; a plurality of transmission devices which are repeatedly arranged in a vertical direction; a plurality of light receiving devices which are repeatedly arranged in a vertical direction and sense light radiated by the transmission devices; an output unit which outputs a vehicle sensing signal according to the sense of the light receiving devices; and a control unit which sets a non-sensing area or a sensing area of the light receiving devices. The sense of the light receiving devices in the non-sensing area is prevented and the vehicle sensing signal is outputted according to a sensing range. According to the present invention, an error due to the contamination or damage of a part of the light receiving device can be resolved by setting the non-sensing area of the light receiving device. Also, the size of a passing vehicle can be distinguished by setting the sensing range of the light receiving device. Especially, the vehicle can be sensed effectively by setting or changing first and second setting values, even if the light receiving device is contaminated or damaged.
