A zoom lens (ZL) provided with, in the following order from the object side along the light axis: a first lens group (G1) having negative refractivity; a second lens group (G2) having positive refractivity; and a third lens group (G3) having positive refractivity, at least the first lens group (G1) and the second lens group (G2) moving along the light axis such that the gap between the first lens group (G1) and the second lens group (G2) is reduced and the gap between the second lens group (G2) and the third lens group (G3) is increased when zooming from the wide-angle end state to the telephoto end state, the first lens group (G1) having one positive lens, and the second lens group (G2) having one negative lens. |
